Las Terceras increases its number of awards at the World Cheese Awards 2019

One more year, Manchego Las Terceras cheeses have been awarded at the World Cheese Awards, the most important event in the international cheese industry. This time, four more medals are added to the medal list of Las Terceras.

Specifically, a gold medal in the category of Semi-hard produced on farm with a total output not exceeding a weekly average of 2t. for our semi-cured Manchego cheese PDO (raw milk); a silver medal in the category Hard cheese produced on farm with a total output not exceeding a weekly average of 2t. for our hard-cured Manchego cheese PDO (pasteurized milk); and two bronze medals, one for our Semi-cured Manchego Cheese PDO and another for our Semi-cured Manchego Cheese PDO (raw milk), in the category of Semi-cured Manchego Cheese (5107). In Las Terceras we are very proud of all our cheeses and of all the equipment that has made possible to obtain these prizes.

The World Cheese Awards has celebrated its 32nd edition this year in the Italian city of Bergamo. On October 18 and 19, more than 3,800 different varieties than cheeses from the five continents have gathered in the European Capital of the Formaggi. An international jury formed by 250 experts has been in charge of assessing and determining which are the best cheeses in the world 2019.

With these awards, Las Terceras has already accumulated a total of sixteen medals in this contest, a number that we hope will continue to increase in the future.
