Our Hard-Cured Manchego Cheese P.D.O. has been awarded with a Silver medal in the category of Hard ewes’ milk cheese plain. And finally, our Aged Manchego Cheese has won another silver medal as a hard cheese that has been awarded a P.D.O.
The World Cheese Awards is the largest specialized cheese contest in the world, with more than thirty years of history. This edition the contest was held in Bergen, Norway, reaching a record number of participants: more than 3,500 varieties of different cheeses, from every corner of the globe. An international jury formed by an international panel of 230 experts from 29 nations were in charge of evaluating and announcing the winning cheeses.
With these awards, Las Terceras has already accumulated a total of twelve medals in this contest, a number that we hope will continue to increase in the future.
